Fire hazard ratings let our residents and stakeholders know how quickly and easily a fire may start during the current weather conditions for the Town of Devon.
When a Fire Advisory, Fire Restriction or Fire Ban is in effect we will endeavor to inform our residents of the change through our various communication channels.
Current Fire Hazard Rating (May 8, 2020) - NO RESTRICTION

Fires are allowed, but Fire Permits may be restricted. This level is a warning that they may be restricted if the situation doesn’t improve.
Safe fires in approved fire pits, burn barrels, or incinerators with screens, gas or propane stoves/barbeques and propane fire pits are allowed. No open fires or major burn operations are allowed during this time. Limited fire permits will be issued but may be suspended or cancelled at any time.
Open fires, screened fire pits, screened burn barrels, campfires, stoves/barbeques using charcoal briquettes or fire receptacles including those within recreational areas are not allowed. Gas or propane stoves/barbeques and portable propane fire pits are allowed. All fire permits are suspended or cancelled, and no new fire permits will be issued.
