Community and Protective Services
Community and Protective Services Department is responsible for the safety, beauty and well-being of the community. We provide modern, accessible recreation facilities, programs and special events through the Parks and Recreation Department, guidance and support through the Family and Community Support Services and safety and bylaw through the Protective Services Department.
In addition to ensuring the safety of our residents, Community and Protective Services Department delivers programs designed to enhance their quality of life.
Our programs offer a variety of social activities for residents of all ages and our recreation facilities are available all year round. Devon is also very proud of it's beautiful parks and trails that can be found throughout the town, winding down into the river valley.
Family, Community and Support Services (FCSS) has been providing services to individuals and families in Devon since 1984. This includes services for children, youth, parenting, the elderly and guidance and advice for employment, finance and everyday living.
Protective Services
Devon has an active department that includes the police, peace officers, animal control, and fire services. This unit looks after the safety and well-being of the community through various programs and duties.
