Penalties
The Town of Devon By-law specifies the penalties for unpaid taxes are as follows:
- July 1 of each year is 3% of the unpaid current taxes remaining unpaid, first month following the date the taxes are due and payable, as printed on the tax notice.
- August 1 of each year is 6% of the unpaid current taxes remaining unpaid, second month following the date of mailing of the tax notice.

- September 1st of each year is 6 % of the unpaid current taxes unpaid, third month following the date of the mailing of the tax notice.
- January 1st of each year is 12% of all unpaid taxes (As of December 31 of former year including any arrears from prior years) including any outstanding supplemental taxes
