Solid Waste & Recycling Utility
Devon's Solid Waste utility provides weekly collection of garbage and recyclables at the curb or lane of each residential home in Devon.
Residents place their garbage in waste carts provided by the Town of Devon. Dry recyclables such as paper, plastics and tins are placed in a Blue Bag and grass clippings and leaves are placed in a Brown paper Bag. Waste carts and recyclables are placed out for pick up before 7:00 am on collection day.

About 2264 tonnes of residential waste are generated annually in Devon. The Blue Bag program recycles 632 tonnes each year and the Brown Bag program recycles 230 tonnes annually.
The Town of Devon operates a RECYCLE CENTRE located at 2 Haven Avenue:Recycle Centre
Large Item Pick Up weeks are offered in the spring and fall each year, where residents can put out furniture, appliances, garden debris (branches, lumber etc. as long as it is cut into 1.2 metre lengths and tied into bundles).
Devon's solid waste is disposed at the Leduc and District Regional Landfill Authority site (south on 50th Street through Leduc, Left on Rollyview Road, follow the signs).
Commercial waste collection and disposal is arranged by each business contracting with a waste hauler of their choice. Approximately 2300 tonnes of commercial waste are generated annually in Devon.
