"Town Council and Devon’s municipal staff are dedicated to providing first rate programs and services, facilities and the infrastructure essential to the community’s well being and growth. In addition, the town is committed to being responsive to the expectations and requirements of ratepayers. Our Council is working in partnership with other municipalities, the province and the Capital Region Board to make Devon a better place to live and do business.
Successes include increasing investment opportunities, the support of our business community with the implementation of the Downtown Vitalization project, improving safety on Devon’s nearby highways and the development of the river valley.”

“Our department brings a wide range of services to our customers; we bring natural gas to heat homes; pick up recyclables and solid waste from homes each week; operate the popular recycle center; keep our roads in good working condition and clear from snow; we provide development permit services; and we make safe water to drink.
While our staff enjoy the diversity and challenge that comes from such a large service delivery portfolio; what they really enjoy the most are the times when a customer passes on a thank you and once again we feel privileged to experience the warmth and satisfaction that comes from working in a great community like ours.”

Finance and Support Services
"Many residents first contact with the municipal office is through our Support Services staff. These dedicated individuals assist residents with customer support, tax and assessment notices, utility billing, dog and business licenses, bulk water and direct all inquires through the main customer service line.
There is a well known customer service quote that exemplifies our Support Staff’s attitude: ‘I may not have the answer, but I’ll find it. I may not have the time, but I’ll make it’.”

Community and Protective Services
“Our residents have told us that they choose Devon for its small town feel, safe atmosphere, beautiful river valley and outstanding recreational options. We’ve listened to their opinions and the CPS has evolved to meet their expectations. Our dedicated staff is divided into three crucial areas: Parks and Recreation, Family and Community Support Services and Protective Services. Together, we provide the community with programming, manage recreation facilities, direct the development of parks and trails, host special events and provide for the safety and security of residents and businesses through enforcement and monitoring.”

Our efforts include marketing initatives to raise the profile of Devon on the regional, provincial, national and international stage. A second priority is promoting Devon as a tourist destination, hosting cultural and sport tourism special events and public relations initiatives."
