Fire Advisory issued for Devon

A Fire advisory has been issued for the Town of Devon due to the dry weather. Fire Department staff will continue to monitor condition and assess individual fire permits under this advisory.

Allowed

  • Fire pits and burn barrels with a regulation screen (no permit required)
  • Fire pit without a regulation screen (permit required)
  • Open burning of debris including straw, hay, grass, weeds, leaves, trees, wood and brush piles (permit required)

Any burning without a valid permit is prohibited.

Never leave a campfire unattended. Soak it, stir it and soak it again until cool to the touch to ensure it is extinguished. If you see a wildfire, report it immediately by calling 911.

This Fire Advisory will remain in effect until conditions improve
