Municipal Enforcement Plans

Municipal Enforcement Plan 2013 - 2016

The Community Peace Officers (CPO) Municipal Enforcement Plan is developed every three years formalizing the Enforcement priorities, identifying and supporting the delivery of the services for municipality.

This plan provides the description of the enforcement objectives, services, active priorities, and ties them all to the mission and values of the municipality and the vision of the enforcement services team. Together, these objectives will fulfill the Municipal Enforcement Mandate that Council and Provincial regulations set out for the peace officer requirements and the municipal sustainability planning.

Traffic Safety Plan

The 2013 Traffic Safety Plan states that the Town of Devon will have two peace officers with the ability to increase as the population, complexity of the work load, expansion of the town boundaries or other expanding issues dictate within the 3 year business plan.  The plan briefly describes Devon, summarizes CPO duties and makes recommendations to address key concerns, contributing factors and high risk locations.  Education and awareness are key elements for successful traffic calming.
