Devon CPOs & RCMP launch Coffee with a Cop program

Initiative gives residents an opportunity for informal chat with CPOs & RCMP

Town of Devon Community Peace Officers (CPO) have partnered with the Devon RCMP to announce their Coffee with a Cop program.

Members of the RCMP, along with Devon CPOs, will be available for an informal chat with residents at the local Devon Tim Hortons at varying times each month to have a casual discussion or to talk about any issues they may be having in the community.

Coffee with a Cop Schedule

  • Oct. 31 – 8-9 a.m.
  • Nov. 8 – 8-9 a.m.
  • Dec. 20 – 2-3 p.m.

“This is a great opportunity to get out into the community and engage directly with our residents to hear exactly what they have to say,” said Sergeant Perry, Community Peace Officer for the Town of Devon. “We hope this program will help us build rapport and trust with our community and show them that law enforcement in Devon is here for everyone.”

Coffee with a Cop will be evaluated in December and dates for 2019 will be determined depending on the success of the program.
