Devon Community Centre

The Devon Community Centre was built for the community by the community. We invite you to enjoy the conveniences and elegance of this facility for your next event.

Whether your function is large or small, the Devon Community Centre is an excellent choice. From dances, dinners, weddings and birthday parties to workshops, seminars, club functions or group events etc.

What is offered?

• Space for 10 to 500 people
• Full service kitchen including ranges, coolers, dishware, cookware and cutlery for up to 500 guests
• Sound system
• Hardwood dance floor
• Fully operational stage with between room entries
• Tables and chairs for up to 500 guests
• Bar area complete with coolers
• LCD and projection screen (available to rent from the Town of Devon for an additional cost)

Room Capacities

Meeting Room: Chairs & Tables - Max 40 (depending on layout). Chairs or standing only - Max 55.

Braun Hall: Chairs & Tables - Max 150 (depending on layout). Chairs or standig only - Max 200.

Main Hall: Chairs & tables - Max 350 (depending on layout). Chairs or standing only - Max 500.

The Main and Braun halls can be opened together to allow up to 700 standing (seating can only max at 500).

Please note: this information is approximate and will depend on how you require the room to be set up. It is also important to note that rooms are NOT soundproof. If you are planning an event that requires absolute silence (e.g. a wedding ceremony) it is advisable to book both the Main and Braun halls.

Staff will assist you by setting up and taking down the tables and chairs. Staff will also carry out small janitorial services including vacuuming and stocking washrooms. For your convenience, we will be happy to provide information regarding caterers, linen suppliers and other services available in our area.

Decorating Guidelines
To ensure that our community centre continues looking good for years to come, we ask that you refrain from using any nails, thumbtacks, tape, pins or other items that may leave marks (big or small) on the walls, floors or any other surfaces at this facility. Please note that we do allow helium balloons to be used for decorative purposes.
