Current Community Bus schedule

  • available to Devon residents
  • door to door service within Devon
  • Devon service is available ANYTIME during the hours listed on Tuesdays and Thursdays
  • call no later than the evening before for out of town trips
  • we can transport your wheelchairs, mobility scooters, strollers, car seats, and shopping trolleys, subject to safety protocols (see below)
  • phone is answered Mondays-Thursdays only
  • with the exception of Leduc, out of town trips require minimum numbers to run

Pricing (round trip)

$5.00 - Devon (RIDE ALL DAY 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.)

$10.00 - Leduc
$10.00 - Spruce Grove, River Cree, Costco 

$15.50 - Malls (Westmount, Kingsway, Southgate, West Edmonton Mall in rotation) 

Rent the Bus!

  • the bus is available for private rental.
  • pre-book at least 72 hours in advance (late cancellation fees apply).
  • the bus accommodates 20 people or 14 plus three wheelchairs.
  • rates are currently $26 per hour plus $.50 per km.
  • rentals are required to start and end in Devon or area.
  • due to liability, no alcohol related events.

Rental Request Form complete it and email to busdriver@devon.ca. Once received you will be contacted to make a payment over the phone or bring it in person and pay the deposit. Rental requests can also be made via the phone to 780-910-1960. Rentals are not confirmed until the deposit has been taken.

Transportation of Children

ALL riders ride at their own risk.

  1. Our bus can now accomodate up to 8 car seats (client supplied)
  2. The bus can now safely accommodate children over 25lbs (and aged two years or older) in an integrated child restraint system (similar to a five point harness built into the seat). Riders are responsible for securing a child in your care into these special seats - they can accommodate children up to 78lbs. You are still welcome to fit a car seat for children if you prefer
  3. Any child under 25lbs MUST be in a car seat suitable to their age / weight
  4. Riders are solely responsible to ensure their specific car seat can be utilized with the standard three point seat belt and can only be fitted by the rider themselves. The bus does not have universal anchors or tethers
  5. We do not allow independent booster seats, we now have them built in to 8 seats
  6. It is the parent/guardian responsibility to ensure their child/ren aged 16 years or under is/are propery secured at all times
  7. We encourage anyone who would like to use the bus with a child to request a free visit to 'check it out' before you ride
  8. ALL passengers out of car seat age/weight are required to wear seat belts on our bus because they are available. For information on Alberta regulations regarding car seats FOLLOW THIS LINK

Children and youth under the age of 16 must be supervised by an adult.

Customer, Bus and Driver Safety

  • Customers and our drivers have the right to be treated with respect and courteous behaviour.
  • It is the right of the driver to refuse service due to violent or threatening behaviour, harassment or disresepct.
  • Scooters and wheelchairs must be a maximum of 43.5” x 22” x 41” and no more than 500lbs combined (with rider).Customers must be able to get themselves safely on and off the vehicle without direct assistance from the driver. 
  • The driver is then responsible for securing the apparatus into place.
  • Scooters / wheelchairs must be run electrically; apparatus can not be powered by gas or propane. Maximum operation speed of the apparatus must not exceed 10 KPH.
  • The bus will not run outside town in extreme weather events and the lift will not be in use below -20 degrees celcius.
