What is the Leduc and District Family Violence Prevention Team?
The Leduc and District Family Violence Prevention Team is a partnership of agencies covering Beaumont, Devon, Leduc, and Leduc County whose purpose is to provide education, awareness, and prevention initiatives around the region.
Our vision is to “Support healthier families in our region” and our mission is “As a regional collaboration of stakeholders, we utilize a whole family approach to raise awareness, educate and prevent family violence in our communities.”
We currently offer community based programs, designed to help build healthy family relationships. These strength-based services are open to those affected by family violence. Priority enrolment is given to Leduc City, Leduc County, Beaumont, and Devon residents.
Victims of violence do not have to pay for the group sessions and counselling is available at little to no cost, depending on your individual circumstances. Costs for those who have been charged are on a sliding scale.
