Construction Projects

Voyageur Park Parking Lot Upgrade

Earlier this spring, Devon Council approved the conceptual design of a new parking lot layout for Voyageur Park. This new layout will increase the parking capacity of the park and provide boat launch users their own parking lot with access to the North Saskatchewan River to alleviate much of the traffic issues currently experienced in Voyageur Park. The existing parking lot with access to the river will be repurposed and be only for boat launch users (trucks and trailers). A new parking lot will be built next to the boat launch lot and will serve those looking to enjoy the park for the day.

This project will start in early June and is expected to be completed by mid-August (weather dependent). Our goal throughout this project is to have as minimal disruptions as possible for our park users. Please, follow the signage around Voyageur Park to help us get the project done as quickly and safely as possible.

Saskatchewan Avenue Utility Construction

There will be some disruptions along Saskatchewan Avenue between Pidgeon Street and Moraine/Sylvan Street to allow for utility work to be completed.

Work on this utility project is scheduled to start on June 11. It is expected to be complete in early July (weather dependent).

Exploration Drive Reconstruction

Two sections of road along Exploration Drive will be under construction this summer to pave a section of road by the Town Shop and to rehabilitate another small section of road.

This project will start in early June and is expected to be completed by the end of July (weather dependent).
