860 Community Events The Town of Devon is actively responding to a cybersecurity incident that occurred on July 21, 2025, affecting the Town’s servers and computer systems. Immediately upon detecting the incident, the Town took swift action to secure its systems, limit potential impacts, and initiate a comprehensive investigation. Independent cybersecurity experts were engaged to assist with the response and to guide recovery efforts in accordance with industry best practices. Preliminary findings indicate that some personal information may have been accessed. At this time, it is too early to determine the full extent or nature of the data involved. Importantly, there is currently no evidence that any personal information has been misused. “The privacy and protection of our residents’ information is a top priority,” said Corey Levasseur, Chief Administrative Officer for the Town of Devon. “We are working closely with cybersecurity professionals to understand what occurred, assess any potential risks, and ensure our systems are reinforced to prevent future threats.” As part of the response, the Town is carefully reviewing its digital infrastructure and security protocols and exploring additional protective measures to help prevent future cybersecurity incident.
