State of the Town Address

Each year Devon's Mayor delivers a State of the Town Address, a positive message to the community, neighbouring municipalities and our regional partners that shares some of the amazing work we have here in Devon over the past year and a small glimpse into what we will be working on as we move towards the end of the current year.


The 2025 State of the Town was held on June 11 2025, at the Devon Community Centre.

The theme for 2025 was "Honouring 75 Years of Legacy, Growth & Community".

State of the Town Video

As part of our 2025 State of the Town, we filmed a short video to share highlights from the presentation.

State of the Town Video

The 2022 State of the Town was held on May 18, 2022, at the Devon Community Centre.

The theme for 2022 was “Ready to Grow” emphasizing the growth that the Town saw in 2021 and early 2022.

He also touched on major construction upgrades, improving services to residents, awards & recognitions, gave an Indigenous Engagement update, and talked about some exciting upcoming events.

In 2021 we were unable to host our State of the Town event due to COVID-19.

In lieu of this, we produced a video to share all of the highlights from the Town over the past year.

The Town of Devon acknowledges the land we are on, Treaty Six territory and the homeland of the Métis, which encompasses the traditional lands of the Cree (nehiyawak), Blackfoot (niitsitapi), Nakota (isga), Anishinaabe (anishinaabeg), and Métis (michif) Peoples, who are the legal caretakers and protectors of the lands and waters, and who have been here since time immemorial.

We acknowledge that Devon is within the traditional lands and territories of kiskayôs (Bobtail) and maskêkosihk (Enoch Cree) First Nations. We shall continue to uphold our Treaty responsibilities to all Peoples of Treaty Six and continue to work with all Indigenous Peoples towards a better future together.
