Devon Community Time Capsule

Join in on the fun and submit an item to include in the Community Time Capsule!

All residents, community groups and businesses are invited to submit an item to include in the time capsule. These items will showcase our community and what Devon means to you. Be part of this once-in-a-generation moment and help fill a new time capsule that captures life in Devon today!

Approved items will be sealed and buried later this year. The new time capsule will be opened in 2050 during Devon's Centennial Anniversary Celebrations!

If you're a Devon resident, community group, business, or have an item that represents the Devon community, we'd love for you to apply! 

• Step 1 - Complete an application form! Click here to be re-directed to the form. 
• Step 2 - Wait for an email from Town Staff (will include approval, change request or denial) 
• Step 3 - Drop-off your item to the Town Office once your item is approved (instructions will be in approval email).

Eligible Items

Items must reflect Devon's history, identity, culture, places, events, community spirit or milestones. We are looking to capture what everyday life in Devon looks like and celebrate our diverse community. 

Examples of items (not limited to): 

• Laminated paper (restaurant menu, ticket srub, letter, newspaper clipping, program guide) 
• Durable objects (coins, pins, patches, figurines, team jersey, etc.)
• Digital content (on a labelled USB—no batteries; content list required)
