Nordic Skiing

This area is owned by the Town of Devon and the trails are maintained by the volunteers of the Devon Nordic Ski Club.  Please follow the rules and etiquette for the safety and enjoyment of all trail users.  Let’s share the outdoors!

All User Trail Guidelines

  • Bikers are allowed on the multiuse trails and bike trails only.
    • Please avoid riding on the golf course or groomed trails.
    • Cross the groomed ski trails perpendicularly and briefly where the trails intersect.
  • Classic Skiers stay on groomed ski trails. Follow directional signs.
  • Dogs are permitted on the multiuse trails
    • Please keep your dog on leash and pick up after.
  • Walkers are allowed on the multiuse trails
    • Please avoid walking on the golf course groomed trails
  • Snowshoeing is permitted on the multiuse trails
    • Please avoid snowshoeing on the groomed ski trails except to cross the trail perpendicular.
    • Do not step on the classic track-grooves when crossing
  • Please respect and avoid walking on the set tracks or on the groomed tracks on the multiuse trails: Keep to the side of the trail.

This page is updated on an as-needed bases during normal business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).

Ski Area Rules & Etiquette

  • Respect all trail users: we are all outdoor enthusiasts!
  • Always check posted trail conditions and follow all signs and posted warnings.
  • Please consider purchasing a Devon Nordic Ski Club membership or donate at the trailhead.
  • When stopping, step off the trail to leave room for other skiers to pass. 
  • Do not block intersections and avoid stopping in the middle of hills or where you are not visible to others.
  • Always maintain control of your speed and direction. Ski in such a manner that you can stop or avoid other skiers or hazards.
  • On double-tracked trails, ski single-file and to the right except when overtaking.
  • When a skier behind calls out “track,” move to the right to give them room to pass.
  • Skate ski in designated areas: please avoid skating on the classic tracks/grooves
  • Ski in the specified direction on one-way trails.
  • Descending skiers have right-of-way on hills.
  • ALL trail users are to keep off greens and tee-boxes on the golf course.
