1098 Community Events Residents can submit bus names at devon.ca/BusName to win $200 prize With the arrival of the Town’s new Community Bus, Devon Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) invites you to help name the bus! The winner of the contest will receive a $200 gift card and have a plaque featuring their name along with the new name of the bus mounted inside the new Community Bus. Contest Details Devon residents can submit their name for the bus at devon.ca/BusName The contest runs until 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30 Multiple entries are encouraged if you have some great bus names! Entries must be appropriate (no profanity, offensive language) Name entries will be reviewed by a contest committee determined by the Town of Devon Upon submission of the entries, the individual agrees that the Town of Devon may use their name and/or picture in announcing the finalist and winner of the contest and that the Town of Devon owns the rights of the winning name and may use in any way deemed necessary Bus Features The new Community Bus features 16 seats that can be configured to include up to 4 wheelchairs, a wheelchair lift to give our residents a life when needed. Funding Earlier this year, The Town received the federal Rural Transit Solutions Fund Grant for $112,000 to cover the majority of the cost to purchase a new Community Bus. “Thank you to the Federal Government for your support of a $112,000 grant to help replace our aging Community Bus here in Devon,” said Mayor Craddock. “Many of our residents rely on our Community Bus and we are thankful that we will continue to be able to provide this service for our community.” Submit your bus name by Sept. 30 at devon.ca/BusName.
