551 Community Events Residents invited to attend or tune in online for meeting Event date: 11/26/2022 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM Export event Council will be holding its annual Budget Deliberations on Nov. 25 & 26, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to set the direction for Devon's 2022 Capital and Operating Budget. Residents are invited to tune in via Zoom to watch the deliberations as there is very limited capacity in Council Chambers. Zoom link: Launch Meeting - Zoom Participate in the 2023 Budget Deliberations The Town’s 2022 budget deliberations are scheduled for Nov. 25 & 26 and this year residents and business owners are invited to come and share their thoughts on the proposed 2023 Town of Devon capital and operating budgets with Council. Option 1 – In-Person Residents can book a 10-minute time slot to speak to Council on the following days/times: Friday, Nov. 25 from 1 - 2 p.m. Saturday Nov. 26 from 9 - 10 a.m. Please note that due to time constraints, there are limited in-person slots available. Once they are full, residents are invited to send in written submissions instead. Option 2 -Written submission Residents can write a letter outlining their thoughts/questions for the 2023 budget deliberations. The letters will be provided to Council members to be taken into consideration during their deliberations. The deadline to request an in-person scheduled delegation and to submit a written submission is Friday, Nov. 18 at 4:30 p.m. Requests and submissions can be sent to Melanie Crothers via email at MCrothers@devon.ca or by phone at 780-987-8310. Submissions can also be dropped off at the Town of Devon Office Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. excepting November 11 as the office will be closed for Remembrance Day.
