6 Community Events Event date: 9/17/2025 Export event Title: Large Item Pick-Up Dates: Tuesday, September 16 & Wednesday, September 17, 2025 Time: Set items at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on collection day Location: Curbside throughout Devon (place items where your waste carts go) Cost: Free curbside collection (see Depot option below) Description: Dispose of bulky household items that don’t fit in your waste cart. Items must be safe to handle and manageable by two people. Set-out guidelines: Place items at the curb by 7:00 a.m. Ensure items are stable, dry (if possible), and free of loose debris. Keep items clear of vehicles, fences, hydrants, and overhead hazards. Two-person lift max—overly large or heavy items may not be collected. Not accepted: Electronics, hazardous waste, appliances with Freon, renovation/construction debris, or anything too large/heavy to lift. (For details on accepted items, visit devon.ca/large-item.) Alternative option — Recycle Depot (Sept. 13–20): User fees waived (limit one pick-up truck per day) Mon, Fri, Sat: 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Wed: 10 a.m.–7 p.m. (No Tuesday/Thursday evenings during Large Item week.)
