Frequently Asked Questions

Please call the Peace Officer answer service at 780.987.3440 and leave your name, number and the tag number of your animal. During regular office hours you can also phone 780.987.3414.

Please call the Peace Officer answer service at 780.987.3440 and leave your name, number and tag number of the animal (if applicable) and someone will return your call as soon as possible.

Please note: the Peace Officers are not on duty 24 / 7 so if you choose to pick up an animal and are unable to reach an officer please be aware that the town office cannot take animals and the veterinarians may be full so in this instance the animal will be your responsibility until such time as an officer can retrieve it from you.

Your Community Peace Officers work six days a week and are on call for the seventh. There are two officers who work shifts and, combined, cover between eight and 16 hours per day.

The Town of Devon acknowledges the land we are on, Treaty Six territory and the homeland of the Métis, which encompasses the traditional lands of the Cree (nehiyawak), Blackfoot (niitsitapi), Nakota (isga), Anishinaabe (anishinaabeg), and Métis (michif) Peoples, who are the legal caretakers and protectors of the lands and waters, and who have been here since time immemorial.
