Community Events

The Town of Devon is inviting residents and community organizations to get involved in shaping our community’s future through two important initiatives: the 2026 Budget Engagement Process and the Community Grant Program. Both opportunities are now open and will be accepting submissions until October 1, 2025

2026 Budget Engagement

This year’s enhanced budget engagement process provides residents with a longer window to share their ideas, while also allowing Administration time to review the costs of community requests. This ensures Council has the information they need to make informed decisions during budget deliberations in November.

Public budget submission examples could include:

  • New infrastructure projects
  • Enhancements to existing community spaces
  • Exploring new programming opportunities
  • Any other ideas residents feel would improve Devon

📅 Timeline

  • The online budget submission form will be available starting August 15, 2025 at devon.ca/budget-submissions.
  • Submissions close October 1, 2025.
  • All submissions will be reviewed by Administration and included in Council’s budget package for deliberations on November 28 & 29, 2025.

Community Grant Program

The Community Grant Program provides financial assistance for projects that enhance and enrich the Devon community. The Town particularly encourages initiatives led by locally based, registered, non-profit organizations that:

  • Benefit a broad cross-section of the community
  • Promote positive community spirit
  • Showcase innovation

Individuals or groups may apply for funding in the following areas:

  • Arts
  • Culture
  • Heritage
  • Recreation
  • Environment
  • Community spirit

📅 Timeline

  • Applications are accepted between August 15 – October 1, 2025.
  • Application forms and more details are available at devon.ca/communitygrant.
