3510 Community Events Event date: 5/8/2018 - 5/9/2018 Export event Please leave all unwanted large items out by your garbage bin (please ensure you have one meter between large items and bins, move or label any items you do not want picked up) by 7 a.m. on your regular pick-up day (May 8 or 9). The Large Item Pick Up is available for all residents with weekly curbside collection, whether or not you participated in the Annual Treasure Hunt! Learn more here! There is a limit of 4 large items per household (smaller loose items must be securely bundled or in a disposable container). Additional items may be dropped off at the Recycle Depot free of charge from May 5 to 12. Some examples of acceptable items for collection include: stoves washers dryers toilets & sinks fridges & freezers wheelbarrows furniture barbecues (no tanks) lawnmowers (all fluids drained) rain barrels & buckets lawn furniture mattresses & box springs air conditioners snowblowers (all fluids drained) (Remove doors & lids from fridges and freezers, and ensure the coolant system is not damaged) The following items will not be picked up from residents, but are accepted at the Recycle Depot free of charge: electronics (including batteries) computers printers tires compressed bottles (propane) hazardous wastes loose items not bound and secure (such as carpeting, lino, etc.) lawnmowers & snowblowers that still contain oil and/or gas car parts hot tubs large items that are not disassembled such as playhouses Any other items over 6 feet long and/ or 200 lbs Share Print
