Celebrate Canada Day in Devon!

Join us for this year's Canada Day Celebration! Enjoy live music, roaming entertainers, Cake with Council, hot dog BBQ, food trucks, Devon Fire Rescue tours, soccer-themed activities and more.

Event Details

  • Date: July 1, 2026
  • Time: 12:30 p.m. - 3 p.m. 
  • Location: Centennial Park
  • Cost: Activities are free! First hot dog is free, 2nd by donation with proceeds going to the Families in Need Fund! Food trucks are an additional cost.

  • Roaming performances featuring Circus Surreal
  • Cake with Council & Hot Dog BBQ
  • Devon Fire Rescue Tours provided by the Devon Fire Department
  • Soccer Skills Games provided by the Devon Soccer Association
  • Jumpy Castle provided by Re/Max Community Support Program
  • Antique Fire Truck rides
  • Kid's crafts, games & more!

Volunteer at Canada Day!

Community volunteers are essential to events! Volunteers are eligible to receive a reference letter to help grow their resume. Volunteers are needed for a variety of positions to help support event activities: 

  • Old Red Rides Line-Up/Loading
  • Hot Dog Serving
  • Temporary/Glitter Tattoo Station
  • Bouncy Castle Monitoring
  • Lawn & Yard Games Area

Important Notices

  • First hot dog is free; second available by donation to the Families in Need Crisis Fund
  • Limited parking available—please walk or carpool whenever possible
  • Portable toilets will be on-site, including accessible portables

Land Acknowledgement

The Town of Devon acknowledges the land we are on, Treaty Six territory and the homeland of the Métis, which encompasses the traditional lands of the Cree (nehiyawak), Blackfoot (niitsitapi), Nakota (isga), Anishinaabe (anishinaabeg), and Métis (michif) Peoples, who are the legal caretakers and protectors of the lands and waters, and who have been here since time immemorial.

We acknowledge that Devon is within the traditional lands and territories of kiskayôs (Bobtail) and maskêkosihk (Enoch Cree) First Nations. We shall continue to uphold our Treaty responsibilities to all Peoples of Treaty Six and continue to work with all Indigenous Peoples towards a better future together.
