Friday, April 10, 2026 1 Community Events Event date: 5/5/2026 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM Export event The Town of Devon, in partnership with Aboriginal Alert, is hosting a drop-in information session on May 5, 2026, in recognition of Red Dress Day. This session will raise awareness of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People (MMIWG2S+) and provide information on the Aboriginal Alert system, a platform designed to improve communication and public notification when Indigenous individuals go missing. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the broader context of the MMIWG2S+ crisis, how the alert system functions, and ways to support awareness and community safety. Event Details: Date: Tuesday, May 5, 2026 Time: 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. (drop-in format) Location: Devon Public Library Cost: Free Participants are encouraged to wear red as a symbol of remembrance.
