The Town of Devon’s Recreation & Community Events program brings people together through inclusive, accessible programs and events that support health, wellbeing, connection, and fun. From drop‑in recreation and registered programs to seasonal celebrations and community gatherings, these offerings create opportunities for residents of all ages to stay active, connect with neighbours, and participate in community life throughout the year.
Volunteers play an important role in supporting recreation programs and community events delivered by the Town of Devon. Opportunities may include helping with community events, supporting drop‑in activities, assisting with program delivery, or offering friendly, on‑site support to participants. Roles are designed to be welcoming and approachable, with clear guidance provided by Town staff.
Harder roles to fill: Events held on statuary holidays and weekly drop-in volunteers to start new programs (drop-in basketball is one example).
