Town boards and committees provide opportunities for residents to contribute their perspectives, experience, and ideas to local decision‑making. These advisory bodies support community leadership, municipal services, and long‑term planning while strengthening connections between residents and local government. Serving on a Town board or committee is a meaningful way to help shape Devon’s future and support thoughtful, community‑informed governance.
Residents interested in community leadership can apply to serve on Town boards, committees, or task forces. Recruitment typically takes place annually in the fall, with appointments beginning November 1. Board members meet monthly or as needed, and support is provided through orientation, training, and staff assistance to ensure volunteers feel confident and informed in their roles.
