The Town of Devon is gearing up for a weekend of fun, history, and community spirit as we celebrate our 75th Anniversary Block Party Weekend from August 8–10. With activities for all ages, the celebration will feature live entertainment, local history, outdoor recreation, and special events to bring residents and visitors together.

Please note: the Ice Cream Social scheduled for Friday, August 8, at Goldring Manor has been cancelled.

Friday, August 8

  • 7:30 – 8:15 PMCanadian Energy Museum Tour at the Canadian Energy Museum: Home of Leduc No. 1
  • 9:00 PM – 12:30 AMDrive-In Movie Double Feature at the Canadian Energy Museum: Home of Leduc No. 1. Enjoy two films under the stars for $5 per vehicle. Concession available.

Saturday, August 9

  • 8 – 10 AMPancake Breakfast at Devon Lion’s Campground
  • 9 – 10:30 AMBird Walk & Watch – Meet at Devon Lion’s Campground Gazebo
  • 10 – 11 AM | 12 – 1 PM | 1 – 2 PMRVA & IRAC Nature Walk at Voyageur Park
  • 10:30 AM – 4 PMDevon Historical Society Open House – 1949 Building
  • 11 – 11:45 AM | 2 – 2:45 PMHistorical Bus Tours – Depart from the 1949 Building
  • 3 – 5 PMYEG Family & Friends Skate at Shayne Zender Memorial Rink
  • 3 – 5 PMYEG Family & Friends Swim at Devon Community Pool
  • 8 PM – 1 AMDevon Days Adult Dance at Devon Community Centre

Sunday, August 10

  • 9 – 10:30 AMTree Planting – Industrial Park
  • 11 AM – 4 PMDowntown Market – Downtown Devon (beside the Devon Eye Clinic)
  • 11 AM – 6 PMBeer Garden – Downtown Devon (beside the Devon Eye Clinic)
  • 12:30 – 1 PMTime Capsule Opening – Downtown Devon

Throughout the weekend, families can also participate in the Block Party Weekend Scavenger Hunt through Bandwango for a chance to win prizes.
