July 1 - Canada 150 Heritage Celebration

Let's join as a community to celebrate this milestone birthday! The Town of Devon, with the support of our residents, is putting on an unforgettable Canada Day event.

What to expect: 

  • West Coast Lumberjack Show
  • Live music and cultural entertainment
  • Antique fire truck rides
  • Multicultural Booths
  • Kidzone
  • Complimentary hotdogs and cake
  • Complimentary bus shuttle
  • Dunk Tank
  • Picnic and water games
  • Photo booth
  • Watermelon eating contest
  • Food trucks

Admission is free, and a free bus shuttle will get you to and from the park!

We are looking for Volunteers!

We are looking for volunteers to help with the July 1 event at Voyageur Park. Shift range from 2-3 hours so if you'd like to volunteer some time to help with the festivities and give back to your community, please sign up here!

Schedule of Events

June 30 - 4 p.m.
Fort Edmonton Canoe Brigade Ceremonial Arrival

July 1 - 7:30 a.m.
Fort Edmonton Canoe Brigade Departure from Lions Park Campground

July 1 - 8:00 a.m.
Community pancake breakfast in Devon Lions Campground ($8 per plate)

July 1 - 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Canada 150 Heritage Celebration in Voyageur Park!

There is no parking down at Voyageur Park for the event. Saskatchewan Ave. to Voyageur Park will be closed at the top of the hill and only boat trailers will be allowed access to park at the boat launch parking lot.

We will have both a Park n' Stride and Park n' Ride to get everyone to and from the event. Buses will run all day starting at from 10 a.m. from both locations with the last buses leaving Voyageur Park to get everyone back to their vehicles at 4 p.m.

November 25 - Christmas in the Park

A Wonderful Devon Tradition

Activities include:

  • Visiting with Santa and his reindeer
  • Walking through the candle luminary maze and discovering its unique design
  • Dashing through the snow on a horse drawn hay ride
  • Savoring the deliciously sweet maple syrup taffy
  • Challenging your family to an old fashioned tea boiling contest
  • Remax Craft Zone
  • Singing Christmas Carols
  • Warming up at the bonfires
  • Enjoying a warm bowl of chili and a hot dog
  • Drinking a cup of hot coco or apple cider
  • Celebrate 10 years with a firework display at 7:30pm

100% of event admission revenue will be reinvested back into the community with a portion going to local charities and the remainder towards Christmas in the Park.
