What is Summer Shack?

The Summer Shack Program is back for 2025, offering a fun, free, and accessible space for children to enjoy throughout the summer!

In 2025, the program will focus on giving children the freedom to explore and engage in activities that spark their interests, with a relaxed, self-guided approach to fun and creativity. Whether they want to try a new sport, create something special with arts and crafts, or simply spend time outdoors with friends, the Summer Shack will provide a welcoming environment for all.

Program Details:

• When: July 2 - August 21, 2025 (runs three times a week)
• Where: Robina Baker Park, Highwood Park, and Pipeline Park West
• Time: 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM 
• Ages: For children aged 5-12
• Cost: FREE!

What to Expect:

• Self-Guided Activities: A variety of sports, crafts, and games for children to enjoy at their own pace with supoort from the Summer Shack Coordinator who will be onsite.
• Drop-in Fun: No need to sign up—just come by and join the fun!
• Build Friendships: A safe space to connect with peers and the Summer Shack coordinator.
• Consistent, Welcoming Environment: Enjoy regular programming at each park, offering a familiar and supportive space for kids all summer long.

The Summer Shack program provides a unique opportunity for children to stay active, creative, and social during the summer break in a fun, supportive setting. It’s a perfect place to make new friends and enjoy a variety of activities!

Summer Shacks run from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. throughout the summer.
