2822 Community Events Curbside pickup for eligible items slated for July 6 & 7 The Town is excited to announce a new recycling program coming to Devon this summer in partnership with the Alberta Recycling Management Authority (ARMA) through their municipal recycling initiative at no cost to the Town. The ARMA curbside collection event will take place on July 6 & 7, 2021 and will provide the community with the opportunity to recycle items not accepted during the bi-annual large item pickup event. The Town invites residents to place their unwanted, eligible items on their curbside for pick up on their waste collection day. There is no limit on the number of items that residents can leave for pick up as long as the items are accepted under one of the program's four categories. Eligible items for ARMA curbside pickup Electronics Paint products Tires Used oil products ePilot Program Part of this new recycling program coming to Devon is the electronics ePilot that ARMA launched in September 2020. This ePilot is a two-year pilot project where the data collected will inform the provincial government and others about advancing electronics recycling in the future. "We are proud to be the first municipality in the Edmonton region to test the ARMA ePilot Project and provide a modern recycling service to our community," said Ray Ralph, Mayor for the Town of Devon. "If you have been stockpiling old electronics, tires, paint or oil products in your garage, this is the perfect opportunity to have it picked up from your curb and disposed of properly."
