Tuesday, May 26, 2026 1 Community Events The Town of Devon is launching the 4×4 Youth Micro Work Experience Program in summer 2026 to help local youth explore careers, gain real workplace experience and build confidence. The pilot program gives selected students the chance to complete 16 hours of supervised, hands-on experience with the Town of Devon in areas such as recreation, communications, parks, planning and public services. Participants will also attend a short pre-employment session to learn about workplace expectations, safety and professional skills. The program is designed for students who may be entering the workforce for the first time. No previous work experience is required — just curiosity, effort and a willingness to learn. This is a guided work experience opportunity, not formal employment. Students who successfully complete the program will receive a $200 honorarium.
