4303 Community Events MMIWG2S+ event to include Remembrance Ceremony, Panel & Sharing Circle The Town of Devon has partnered with the Samson Cree Nation Woman’s Advisory to host a Remembrance Ceremony, Panelist Presentation & Sharing Circle on May 5, 2022, to recognize Murdered & Missing Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit (MMIWG2S+) Day of Awareness. MMIWG2S+ Day of Awareness invites the community to gather together in solidarity to remember those who have been lost to violence and enact change through education, awareness, and a commitment to recognizing this epidemic.
