The Town of Devon is thrilled to announce that construction on Paragon Ballpark is almost complete, and everyone is invited to join us for a grand opening event on Friday, July 22 from 3-6 p.m. at the new diamonds to celebrate.

“We are so excited to officially open Paragon Ballpark this month and showcase the new space to the community,” says Mayor Craddock. “We would like to thank the federal government for supporting the construction of the new ball diamonds through the Canada Community Revitalization Fund which covered $750,000 of the project.”

Paragon Ballpark Features

  • one 350’ baseball diamond
  • a batting cage
  • a new playground
  • washrooms

The Canada Community Revitalization Fund (CCRF) is a two-year $500 million national infrastructure program to support communities across the country with projects that revitalize downtown cores and main streets, reinvent outdoor spaces, create green infrastructure and address accessibility of community space. PrairiesCan is administering the CCRF in Alberta.

“Our government is continuing to make investments through the Canada Community Revitalization Fund that transform public infrastructure into modern gathering places for residents and visitors of all ages and abilities,” said the Honourable Daniel Vandal, Minister for PrairiesCan. “Our support for the Town of Devon’s Paragon Ballpark will help to create an inclusive and accessible community recreational space where everyone can gather, stay active, and play a friendly ballgame.”

“Public recreation and sporting facilities in Alberta communities bring people together, attract visitors, and support local small businesses,” said the Honourable Randy Boissonnault, Minister of Tourism and Associate Minister of Finance. “Our collaboration with the Town of Devon on the Paragon Ballpark will provide opportunities for residents and visitors alike to enjoy the new ball diamonds in the heart of their community.”

Paragon Ballpark is located just south of HWY 60 at 100 Aspenleaf Rd. The Town has upgraded both Miquelon Ave. and Aspenleaf Rd. to better accommodate those heading out to the diamonds.
