April 3, 2025 Notice to Residents: Fibre Optic Infrastructure Installation Fibre Connect, a CRTC-regulated provider of fibre-optic technology, will soon begin preparation work in the Town of Devon in advance of fibre network installation. Ledcor Technical Services and their subcontractors will be conducting surveys of existing utility infrastructure throughout the community. What to Expect: Survey crews may be walking or driving along public roads and sidewalks. Temporary street parking may occur to access survey areas. Utility locating crews may place flags or use spray paint to identify underground utilities. Most work will occur within public boulevards and utility rights-of-way. Please note that some areas of your yard may be part of a registered utility right-of-way. These easements are in place to allow utility companies and the Town access to underground infrastructure. No action is required on your part, and you do not need to be home while this work is taking place.
