On behalf of Town Council, Mayor Jeff Craddock has released the following statement of condolence on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

"Today we join fellow Canadians, members of the Commonwealth and people all around the world as mourn the passing of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, Canada's longest reigning Sovereign. Her late Majesty was a dedicated public servant throughout her long life and will be fondly remembered by us all. On behalf of the Town of Devon and Town Council, we send our deepest condolences to King Charles and the Royal Family."

Flags at our Town buildings will remain at half mast as we respect the mourning period during this great loss.

A book of condolences is available to be signed online along with a message for those who would like to pass on their condolences.

The provincial memorial for Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is available at alberta.ca/queen-elizabeth-memorial.cfm.
