The Police Committee helps develop policing priorities with the local RCMP detachment leadership team based on community input and emerging regional trends and issues. It also provides recommendations on community policing initiatives and safety plans, with attention given to available social support services and law enforcement resources.
The Committee offers a safe space for residents to share ideas on making the community safer, more secure, and healthier, and works to strengthen relationships between residents and the police through open, constructive communication.
