Fire Restriction now in effect for the Town of Devon
1
Community Events

The Town of Devon has updated its fire rating to Fire Restriction effective May 4, 2026, due to recent moisture and current fire conditions within Town limits.

The Fire Restriction is being implemented as a reminder for residents and visitors to remain cautious and help reduce fire risk in the community.

Under the current Fire Restriction:

  • Recreational fires in approved fire pits are still permitted.
  • Fire permits may be issued on a case-by-case basis.
  • Smokers that burn solid fuels are permitted.
  • Propane and gas-fueled cooking appliances are allowed.

Residents are reminded to dispose of smoking materials safely. Cigarettes and other smoking materials should be placed in appropriate metal containers and kept wet. Please do not throw cigarettes into backyard vegetation, along walking trails, or from vehicles onto roadways. Smoking materials should also never be extinguished in flowerpots, planters, or organic material.

Devon Fire Rescue will continue to monitor local conditions and make any necessary updates to help keep the community safe.

The Fire Restriction rating may change quickly depending on fire conditions within Town limits.
